Intent of the process

📢This inventory will be used to establish pools of qualified candidates to meet future needs in the Prairie and Northern Region at Transport Canada. Pools may be used to staff other similar positions of various tenures and linguistic profiles at Transport Canada.

ED : A secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

📝OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION

At minimum, a candidate must meet at least one of the following qualifications. However, depending on the position being staffed, one or more of the qualifications may be required for that position and only candidates and persons with a priority entitlement who possess those qualifications will be considered. Please indicate if you possess any of the following in your application:

• Possession of a valid Aviation Document Booklet; AND
• Possession of a valid Category 1 Aviation Medical; AND
• Possession of a Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence - Aeroplane Category with a Group 1 Instrument Rating that meets all applicable currency requirements to be able to exercise the privileges of the licence; AND
• Possession of a Restricted Radio-Telephone Operator Certificate (endorsed Aeronautical).

OR

• Possession of a valid Aviation Document Booklet; AND
• Possession of a valid Category 1 Aviation Medical; AND
• Possession of a Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence - Helicopter Category with a Group IV Instrument Rating that meets all applicable currency requirements to be able to exercise the privileges of the licence; AND

OR

✈️MINIMUM FLIGHT TIME:

At minimum, a candidate must meet at least one of the following qualifications. However, depending on the position being staffed, one or more of the qualifications may be required for that position and only candidates and persons with a priority entitlement who possess those qualifications will be considered. Please indicate if you possess any of the following in your application:

Total of 2,500 hours flight time, which includes 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in multi-engine aeroplanes.

OR

Total of 2,500 hours flight time, which includes 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in medium or heavy category helicopters.

OR

Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in multi-engine aeroplanes.

OR

Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in multi-engine helicopters.

OR

Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in single engine turbine powered aeroplanes.

OR

Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command that includes multi-engine turbo-jet transport aeroplanes of a maximum certified take-off gross weight of a minimum of 50,000 pounds.

👜EXPERIENCE

EX1 : Minimum of 3 years of experience acquired within the last 6 years, as a pilot with a Canadian Air Operator, Private Operator (CAR 604), Flight Training Unit or in the Canadian Military.

AED1 : Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
AED2 : Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized university with a specialization in aeronautical, mechanical or electrical engineering or computer sciences.
AED3 : Post-secondary education in an aviation or related program to the position.

📝OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION

Depending on the position being staffed, any of the following qualifications may also be deemed as an essential qualification and only candidates and persons with priority entitlement who possess those qualifications will be considered for that specific vacancy. Please indicate if you possess any of the following in your application:

AOC1 : Possession of a valid Canadian Class 1 Flight Instructor Rating – Aeroplane OR a Canadian Forces Instructor Category - Aeroplane.
AOC2 : Possession of a valid Canadian Class 1 Flight Instructor Rating- Helicopter OR a Canadian Forces Instructor Category - Helicopter.
AOC3 : Possession or previous possession of one of the following ratings: DH8, EMB 170/190, CRJ, Boeing 737 or 757 or 767 or 777or 787, Airbus A220, A310, A320 or A330/340.
AOC4 : Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot Licence - Helicopter (ATPL-H).

AEX7 : Experience in conducting assessments or evaluation of compliance.
AEX8 : Experience in enforcing statutes and regulations.
AEX9 : Experience as a Civil Aviation Safety Inspector.
AEX10 : Experience as an Approved Check Pilot.
AEX11 : Experience as a Pilot Examiner.
AEX12 : Experience in developing policies, procedures, or standards.
AEX13 : Experience as a helicopter flight crewmember on offshore operations.
AEX14 : Experience using Flight Management Systems.
AEX15 : Experience in conducting long-line operations.
AEX16 : Experience in working with Electronic Flight Instrument Systems.
AEX17 : Experience as a pilot-in-command (PIC) in global operations.
AEX18 : Experience as a PIC of multi-engine turbojet aircraft of a Maximum certified Takeoff Gross Weight of 45, 360 kg (100,000 lbs) or greater.
AEX19 : Experience on advanced technology aircraft.
AEX20 : Experience as pilot in command of multi-engine turbine powered aircraft of a Maximum Certified Takeoff Gross Weight of 22, 680 kg (50,000 lbs) or greater operating under Subpart 705 of the Canadian Aviation Regulations or Canadian military equivalent.
AEX21 : Experience in writing documents, such as investigative reports or court documents.
AEX22 : Experience in conducting interviews of suspects and witnesses.
AEX23 : Experience in conducting investigations.
AEX24 : Experience working with legal issues.

🛠️ OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
