The Faculty of Science and the FEPAC Accredited Forensic Science Program at Ontario Tech invites applications from qualified individuals for a tenure-track faculty position in Forensic Science. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. with a track record of research excellence in the natural sciences. We are open to all areas of research that will complement our current strengths in the forensic sciences; including but not limited to bioinformatics, molecular biology, and biotechnology. Research program fit in these areas with applications to current practices in forensic science is considered an asset. We will, however, consider applicants who have an established record of original research, funding, and teaching in all areas of forensic science with a clear fit with our program.

The successful candidate will be expected to follow a 40% Research, 40% Teaching and 20% Service workload each year. This is a research-focused position, where the successful candidate will be expected to develop a dynamic and innovative externally funded research program which supports the training of highly qualified personnel at the undergraduate, graduate & post-doctoral levels as well as fostering and participating in academic and industrial collaborations.

This position falls within the bargaining unit represented by the and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the University and the collective agreement may be found on the Human Resources section of our website. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and annual salary increases are administered as per the terms outlined in the collective agreement.
