Summer Staff – Futures Program

Community Living Mississauga

Mississauga, ON

$21.00 per hour, up to 42 hours per week, up to 10 weeks

June 22, 2026 through August 29, 2026

Description of Duties

Provide direct support to young adults in community activities and support in their volunteer placements as they learn their job responsibilities and routine.
Facilitate employment readiness workshops.
Maintain record‑keeping and program planning.
Attend weekly staff meetings.
Promote inclusion of young adults into all community activities.
Provide personal care support and participate in activities, including swimming, and be physically fit to perform lifts and transfers.

Qualifications

Developmental Services Worker Diploma or enrollment in and active pursuit of this diploma.

Experience working or volunteering with people who have an intellectual disability.

Equivalency

Social Services Worker Diploma, Child and Youth Worker Diploma, B.A. in Social Sciences, or B.A. in an unrelated field, or enrollment in and active pursuit of the above.

Experience working or volunteering with people who have an intellectual disability.

Asset

Fluent in French.

Aptitude to learn quickly and to work independently.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
