Overview

Join the World's Leading Product Review Company as a Staff Writer - Networking Technologies at RTINGS.com. This role focuses on understanding how networking products perform, communicating insights, and helping consumers make informed purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities

Use testing results to understand product performance and market fit, and communicate this understanding through various formats.
Write and update buying recommendations and product reviews and create comparisons between products.
Write scripts for videos that review, compare, or recommend products.
Interact with the community and answer questions.

Qualifications & Experience

Demonstrated product knowledge about VPNs, routers, or other networking-related products.

Strong English communication and writing skills.

Strong analytical skills and a fast learner.

Experience writing product reviews and / or working in retail / sales is a bonus.

Open to hiring either an entry-level candidate or someone with more experience :

Writer I (Entry level) : Salary range $52k–$57k. Less than two years of professional writing experience. You are a hobbyist for networking products and familiar with the market. Will grow into Writer II.

Writer II : Salary range $62k–$85k. More than two years of professional writing experience. Deep interest and technical understanding of networking. Participation in hobbyist communities (e.g., subreddits, Discord) is encouraged.

Senior Writer : Salary range $80k–$105k. Recognized voice in hobbyist communities; deep technical understanding of networking infrastructure, online security, and encryption; prior product review writing; leadership / management experience.

Salary & Career Path

Salary range across levels : $52,000–$105,000 CAD. Note : Further advancement exists beyond Writer II, including potential team leadership opportunities.

Requirements

Willingness to relocate / work in Canada.

Ability to demonstrate product knowledge about networking products (VPNs, routers, etc.).
