Job descriptionRelevant experience related to checking fixture and automation details. Previous experience operating 3 / 5-axis CNC machines as a machinist. CAD / CAM experience – SolidWorks, PowerMill, and PowerShape an asset. FCS and other standardized work fixturing knowledge an asset. Excellent reading comprehension skills. Problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Mechanically inclined. Ability to read blueprints and comprehend GD&T. Minimum High School diploma. Technical School Graduate or equivalent experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Reporting to : CNC Programming Supervisor
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Review and process 3D CAD details and design blueprints.
- Create instructions / set-ups for machinists.
- Translate instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
- Verify completed programs by running simulations.
- Analyze and select optimal tooling, speeds, and feeds.
- Optimize and improve processes continuously.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
