The Role : As an Acute Emergency Medicine Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide critical, life-saving care to patients experiencing urgent or emergent medical conditions.
Working in the Emergency Department and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you will assess, stabilize, treat, and monitor patients in high-pressure situations, ensuring the delivery of timely and effective care.
Responsibilities :
Conduct initial assessments of patients in the Emergency Department, determining the severity of conditions and prioritizing care based on triage guidelines.
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and making adjustments as necessary.
Perform life-saving interventions, such as CPR, wound care, and other emergency procedures, as required.
Monitor and document patient vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic tests, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care and make critical treatment decisions.
Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families regarding conditions, treatment options, and next steps.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable province.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency or acute care setting.
BLS and ACLS certifications.
Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess and manage high-stress situations effectively.
Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work well within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
