Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Client Data and Analytics, the Director, Analytics and Data Science is responsible for leveraging client data through analytics and data science and achieving measurable benefits for the organization. This role is part of a strategic transformation which focuses on the overall customer experience.

Working in close collaboration with the rest of the Global Customer Experience sector as well as IT and other business lines, the director will be responsible for articulating and implementing our data science and advanced analytics strategy.

Your main responsibilities :

Provide strategic leadership through the definition, evolution and delivery of our advanced analytics vision and strategy, in support of our short-term and long-term business objectives.

Define and evolve an integrated roadmap of all data science initiatives for the sector, highlighting the value delivered over time.

Leverage advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to significantly and continuously improve marketing segmentation, cross-selling campaign performance, digital channel growth, client experience, and more.

Provide proactive leadership for the operation and evolution of the client analytics platform as well as the data, metrics, models and reports it contains.

Lead the ongoing analysis of growth and client experience results and their communication to a business audience.

Maintain proactive change management and communications activities with stakeholders for the adoption of deliverables and the achievement of targeted business outcomes.

Support the establishment of a data science community of practice in the organization.

Lead a team of data analysts and scientists and ensure their development, mobilization, and performance.

Ensure compliance and safe and responsible practice within the team's activities.

Target profile :

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or another related scientific field. A master's or doctorate degree would be an important asset.

8 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a management role.

Expertise in data science, both in terms of the mathematics underlying it and the associated technologies (computer programming, ML Ops processes, data visualization, and others).

Experience in the insurance and financial services field, an asset.

Ability to mobilize and develop a high-performing team.

Analytical and strategic thinking.

Ability to communicate complex content to a business audience.

Comfort with ambiguity, complexity, and change. Able to lead research and development activities.

Great team spirit and collaboration.

Excellent communication skills in French, and an advanced level of English as the person will be working with English-speaking vendors, and collaborating (via teams and emails), negotiating and influencing internal partners on a daily basis.
