WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The Manager, Advanced Quality is responsible for leading quality planning and assurance activities for new product development and continuous improvement initiatives at Masco Canada. This role ensures quality is built into products and processes from the early design phase through to production. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain—the Manager drives the implementation of advanced quality tools, manages risk assessments, and ensures compliance with customer and regulatory requirements to deliver high-quality, reliable products.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

  • Lead quality planning activities for new product development projects
  • Integrate quality standards and controls throughout the product lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to align quality expectations
  • Implement advanced quality tools (e.g., APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP)
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential product or process failures
  • Ensure compliance with customer, internal, and regulatory quality requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across products and processes
  • Support quality reviews, audits, and corrective action programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field
  • Certification in Quality (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma, or equivalent) is preferred
  • Familiarity with industry quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949)

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • 5–7 years of experience in quality engineering or quality management within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of advanced quality planning tools and methodologies (e.g., APQP, FMEA, PPAP)
  • Proven leadership ability to manage cross-functional projects and drive accountability
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess data and implement effective solutions
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with teams, suppliers, and customers
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation capabilities
  • Proactive and process-focused approach to continuous improvement and risk mitigation
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and customer-specific quality requirements
