Job descriptionMaintaining strict control of all access points, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter the facility. Verifying access cards carefully and deny entry to unauthorized individuals while maintaining professionalism. Conducting regular patrols of the entire site to monitor for hazards, unauthorized activity, or security breaches. Staying highly vigilant and alert at all times, anticipating potential risks and responding proactively. Opening and closing access gates promptly, ensuring smooth operations without compromising security. Escorting contractors, workers, and visitors safely within the facility, following all security protocols. Minimum 12 months experience as a guard Valid BC Security License Advance Security Training is an asset Intermediate / Advanced First Aid Training preferred BC Class 5 driver’s license (clean) Reliable vehicle to serve as a shelter and to reach remote areas Intermediate computer skills Experience with access control systems and CCTV Ability to pass background and site-specific clearances Physically capable of standing, walking, and working outdoors Strong communication and report-writing skills Legal eligibility to work in Canada
