Responsibilities
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
- Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-volume, relevant keywords for ScholarLink's target audience (academics, researchers, universities).
- Optimize website content (including blog posts, landing pages, and product descriptions) for search engines, ensuring strong on-page SEO practices.
- Build high-quality backlinks through strategic outreach and content marketing initiatives.
- Monitor website traffic and rankings using analytics tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Ahrefs) and recommend ongoing SEO improvements.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest SEO trends and algorithm updates.
- Digital Marketing:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and drive user acquisition across various channels (e.g., social media, content marketing, email marketing).
- Manage ScholarLink's social media presence (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube) by creating engaging content, scheduling posts, and interacting with the academic community.
- Craft compelling email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, promote ScholarLink's features, and convert users.
- Analyze the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and make data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
- Collaborate with the content marketing team to create high-quality blog posts, articles, and other content that attracts and educates our target audience.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all marketing activities and report on progress towards achieving marketing goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in SEO and Digital Marketing.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building.
- Proficiency in using SEO and digital marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Experience with social media marketing platforms (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Experience with email marketing platforms is a plus.
- A passion for the academic world and a strong understanding of the research community.
- A data-driven approach with the ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
