Job Description

Production Planner role at SHW Canada

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
  • Review customer orders and forecast requirements to effectively plan production capacity.
  • Ensure all materials, components, and supplies are available on time.
  • Monitor work‑in‑progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address delays or changes.
  • Optimize production flow to reduce bottlenecks and improve overall efficiency.
  • Communicate production plans and any schedule changes to supervisors and relevant departments.
  • Track inventory levels and collaborate with Warehouse teams to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Prepare production reports and performance metrics for management review.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards at all times.
  • Prepare various SAP reports related to material inventory.
  • Operate material handling equipment and assist with loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or their designate.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of SAP experience or a Diploma / Certificate in Supply Chain Management with SAP specialization.
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Experience in supply chain management and logistics.
  • Good communication and networking skills, as well as strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Clean, accurate, and safe handling of materials.
  • Structured way of working.
  • Ability to work in a team.
