Job description

Trans Tank Systems is an assembly and service facility specializing in tanker trucks for the petroleum, water, and aviation markets. We are currently seeking a Weights & Measures certified volumetric fuel meter & calibration technician.

Qualifications and Requirements :

Candidate should have passed the Bulk Retail Petroleum course with Measurement Canada and have experience calibrating fuel truck or service station meters.
Knowledge and experience using Measurement Canada's ORA online reporting system.
Strong attention to detail.
Competent mathematical skills.
Self-motivated and confident in their abilities.
Candidates will need to provide their own tools and be able to work individually, in a team, and with minimal supervision at times.
Experience with pumping and metering systems on tanker trucks an asset.

Job Details :

The opportunity for overtime and working weekends will also be provided.

Trans Tank offers competitive wages and a benefits package after a 3-month probation period including RRSP matching.

Regular weekday hours are 7 : 30-4 : 30 Monday to Thursday and 7 : 30-4 : 00 on Fridays.

Salary from $30.00 to $40.00 per hour.

Responsibilities :

Calibration of truck-mounted meters & registers to Weights & Measures standards and specifications.

Installing and repairing pumps, meters, registers, and other mechanical components on new, remounted, and in-service tank trucks.

Disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, and maintenance of pumps, meters, registers, hose reels, hydraulic components, etc.

Other duties as required.
