Senior QA to perform Accessibility assessments on public and employee facing screens for a large pensions initiative

Our public sector client requires a Senior QA to perform Accessibility assessments on public and employee facing screens for a large pensions initiative.

Tasks include :

• Perform manual testing using code analysis and assistive technologies such NVDA or JAWS to test web application against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA criteria.
• Perform automated testing using tools such as Accessibility Insights for Web.
• Create and modify WCAG reports containing defects, description of issues, steps to reproduce and impacted users and remediation.
• Fully document remediations solutions at code level, using sample of compliant code, (HTML, CSS and ARIA attributes) in Azure DevOps (ADO) or in any other test management tool such as JIRA.
• Implement automated testing and provide guidance on creating test cases for accessibility and screen reader testing.
• Host design and code walkthrough to provide information on Accessibility issues and clarify remediation to stakeholders .
• Review fixed code and propose modification to remediate Accessibility issues of a web application.
• Collaborate with peers to implement sustainable and reliable solutions that adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.
• Provide a status report on progress, potential blockers, issues detected, and issues resolved to technical leads and team lead.
