We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will provide support with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and procurement tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Assist with accounts receivable duties, including collections and reconciliations.
• Perform procurement-related tasks, such as ordering office supplies through platforms like Amazon.
• Maintain detailed and accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to manage high-volume invoicing and billing tasks.
• Use software tools such as Excel, Medisolutions, and Telus Health to track and manage financial data.
• Support pre-billing activities and ensure proper documentation for financial operations.
• Provide assistance in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address inquiries and follow up on outstanding items.
• Contribute to additional administrative and financial tasks as assigned by the Controller.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Medisolutions and Telus Health.
• Experience with financial software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle high-volume tasks.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
