We are seeking a production co-ordinator for a steel fabrication shop. The incoming candidate will have a background in a steel processing or steel fabrication production environment. The successful candidate will make sure that pieces are appropriate for processing. They will ensure there is a proper flow of production for making steel plates. This will include efficient organization of materials, as well as keeping effective work flow and operation between CNC machines, brake press, laser table, and fabrication / welding. The successful candidate will have an interest and background with shop operations and processes in a steel production environment. Compensation will range from 80-90k per year plus benefits for a candidate demonstrating the required fit, attributes, and experience required to hit the ground running. Requirements

• 5 plus years of shop operations experience in a steel processing or steel fabrication production facility.
• Understanding of the best practices in steel plate production process
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Able to communicate clearly and confidently in verbal and written English
• Prior team lead, supervisory, or management experience an asset
• Positive attitude and ability to work with others
• Experience operating brake press, CNC machines, or working as a welder / fabricator is an asset
• CAD experience beneficial
• Must be computer literate and able to use systems for material tracking and other activities.
