Automotive Service Technician

Lounsbury Chevrolet in Miramichi is looking for a Licensed Automotive Service Technician or a Licensed Truck and Trailer Technician.We are looking for someone who has a great attitude, is dependable and has a passion for the automotive industry.This is a unionized position : Licensed Technicians are paid $33.33 per hourPay increases every SeptemberTiered pay rate for ApprenticesHours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4 : 30pm. No evenings or weekends!!!Must have own tools. Specialized tools will be supplied by Lounsbury.

Responsibilities

Basic vehicle maintenance : tire rotations and oil changes, diagnosing complex problems and planning and executing vehicle repairsIsolate the systems or components that might have caused the problemDrive the vehicle for testing purposes or using various equipment, including hand-held and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computersRepair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle's breakdown or damageMaintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles

Qualifications

Licensed Automotive Service Technician through an accredited post-secondary institution or part of an accredited apprenticeship programMust have a valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstractAbility to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specificationsAbility to work individually and as part of a teamHigh level of integrity and work ethicIs able to effectively communicate automotive issues clearlyAble to read and write in EnglishIs able to work independently, managing his or her time and workflow
