Accountant – Hotel Division

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Accounting Management team, the individual in the Accountant position will be responsible for the following duties:
• Assist with the training of accounting teams at the hotels;
• Provide support to hotels during extended absences in accounting positions;
• Approve hotel vendor payment requests by performing spot checks and verifications;
• With the support of Accounting Management, conduct audits of accounting functions across various hotels;
• Review month-end and year-end files to ensure that all required documentation has been prepared, and provide assistance as needed;
• Prepare the monthly report of outstanding accounts receivable;
• Prepare the monthly consolidated financial statements report;
• Assist in the annual budgeting process;
• Participate in the development of various internal policies and procedures;
• Support the Accounting Management team with any other internal or external accounting-related requests.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting;
• Experience in a similar position;
• Strong knowledge of Excel and the ability to work with various accounting software programs (considered an asset).
• Languages: Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, is required to effectively serve international clients.
