Our client a leading ICI General Contractor Based in British Columbia with operations in Alberta & Ontario is currently looking for a Site Superintendent to join there team in BC.

Superintendent Performance Objectives
- Manages all facets of construction including communication with Owners, Consultants and Subtrades
- Supervises all subtrades, suppliers and on site personnel to ensure work is being done in accordance with their scope of work
- Attends to complex or unique issues which may arise internally or externally
Superintendent Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for onsite construction plan including schedule and logisticsWorks in conjunction with construction site safety personnel to keep site safe and in an orderly state to meet or exceed WorkSafe BC regulationsReviews all Construction Subtrade scopes of work in order to gain a firm understanding of work to be performedReviews all RFI’s and SI’s in a timely manner and communicates any issues or changes to those involvedReviews and understands shop drawingsIn conjunction with construction project team, maintains and drives the schedule with a focus on work sequence ensuring milestones and deadlines are being metEnsures project materials are ordered and suppliedConducts daily site inspections to ensure work is being done in accordance with building and safety regulations and that quality standards are maintainedEnsures that project is being built in accordance with plans, specifications and shop drawingsCompletes and submits daily Superintendent ReportsWorks with Project Manager and Subtrades to ensure project is progressing within budgetCommunicates with Project Manager on a daily basis regarding any concerns, issues or conflictsReviews additional work by Subtrades / Suppliers with Project Manager prior to authorizationCoordinates site inspections with Consultants and municipal authorities including final Occupancy InspectionsConducts weekly Subtrade meetings to monitor progress and address any concernsMaintains a good working relationship and open communication with Owner, subtrades, suppliers, site personnel and fellow employeesQualifications
Minimum of years’ experience in commercial and residential construction with experience in concrete built structuresCollege or Trade qualifications in a construction related fieldGood working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft ProjectsExcellent organizational, planning, communication and time management skillsAbility to work well with others and be efficient in problem solving and conflict resolutionGood attention to detail and creative problem solving abilityShare This Job Vacancy
