Job Description

A market leader in the building materials industry is looking for a Maintenance Electrician in Toronto, ON. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is a day shift with solid pay.

Responsibilities :

Responsible for maintaining all existing equipment plus the installation of new electrical systems, conduits, switches, A / C drives and safety devices
Build, installation and start-up of new equipment
Perform preventative maintenance (PM) as well as mechanical work
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and exercise a high degree of safe working habits
Must be a self-motivated, hardworking individual with a strong sense of urgency

Qualifications :

Post-secondary education in Electronics / Electrical / Electromechanical field;

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electrical control panel wiring including

Component identification and understanding of component functionality

Interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics and implementing it in producing a panel

Strong troubleshooting skills – CNC, PLC based equipment

Sound knowledge of electrical systems
