THE ROLE
As an MHE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of material handling equipment such as electric forklifts, pallet trucks, and dock trucks, including industrial batteries and charging equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical and electrical experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and assist with special projects in a clean and organized facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance and repairs on electric forklifts, pallet trucks, dock trucks, and associated equipment
- Complete preventive maintenance and safety inspections of MHE fleet
- Conduct small electrical repairs and welding projects as needed
- Maintain batteries and chargers, including cleaning, watering, and repair of plugs and tips
- Assist with special projects around the facility (moving furniture, changing lights, light carpentry, painting, minor plumbing)
- Participate in on-call rotation as designated
- Record time and materials in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe, working order
- Respond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED (Trade school in mechanical discipline preferred)
- 2 years of MHE maintenance experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work non-traditional business hours including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems (AC & DC), drive motors, and electrical controls including PLC systems
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, drive units, differentials, braking systems, telescopic masts, reach mechanisms, steering systems, and suspension systems
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
