Adecco in partnership with our client, an organization specializing in improving operational efficiencies for businesses, is currently hiring a full-time highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant in Toronto, ON.

In this position you will play a critical role in managing our clients’ financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.

This position requires a minimum of 3 years' accounting experience, hold a professional accounting qualifications and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities :

Reconciling bank and credit card accounts

Managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

Processing monthly / quarterly HST / GST / Payroll remittances (Canada and Ireland)

Processing annual T4s

Delivering monthly financial management reports, including budgeting, forecasting and analysis

Producing reconciliations and transactions

Month-end closing

Engaging with the CRA and relevant regulatory agencies, as required

Liaising with brokers and benefits provider for appropriate plan set up and administration

New vendor set-ups

Data analysis and reporting.

Identifying and reporting risk

Assisting with the preparation of financial reporting packages and statements

Cash management

Inter-company accounting

Ad-hoc inquires and reports

Developing various schedules for auditors

Providing support in managing larger training and consulting projects tracking of days, costs and margin

Qualifications :

Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience

Professional accounting qualification

Experience of provincial and federal taxation and remittance requirements

Self-motivated, collaboratively focused

Attention to detail

Highly organized

Tech savvy (experience using QuickBooks Online and / or Xero cloud accounting software an asset)

Advanced knowledge of the MS suite - Office, Outlook, etc.

Experience with data analysis, financial statement analysis, financial planning and reporting an asset

Strong written and verbal communication skills
