At St John Ambulance, we are looking to develop our volunteering offer and become an even more integral part of our communities through delivering community first aid and education.

We need people who have a passion for helping others, care about their communities, and want to make a difference by sharing your first aid skills and knowledge. As a Community First Aider, you’ll deliver first aid at local events and provide education to the public to promote the importance of First Aid.

By supporting community partnerships, you will help grow our membership and fundraising efforts, spreading the message that First Aid Saves Lives.

Volunteering as a Community First Aider offers a great sense of satisfaction and pride, supporting an essential service. It’s beneficial for you, your community, and the nation, requiring only a small time commitment.

We will provide you with a comprehensive induction and necessary training for your role, along with a supportive environment. Details about volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions, and our volunteer charter outlines our mutual expectations.

Successful applicants will need to undertake induction and training, including a CFA course for new volunteers. We will hold face-to-face interviews and induction meetings in person, with regular meetings at our hubs. Interview dates will be provided shortly after the closing date.

Welcome events are scheduled for 7th and 8th May in the evenings from 6 pm. CFA training will take place on 31st May and 1st June in Truro.
