This key position is responsible for the smooth running of the department's operations, while adhering to hotel and chain standards.
- It is also responsible for departmental budgets. RESPONSABILITIESResponsible for the front desk team, night audition and customer service;
- Communicate daily operational needs to relevant employees;Pay particular attention to customer satisfaction and ensure that all guest requests are answered accurately and efficiently;
- Handle guest complaints, when required, with professionalism and in accordance with Moxy Marriott standards;Assume responsibility for all aspects of human resources management within the department, including workforce planning, performance management, performance appraisals, development and training;
- Ensure staff have accurate and up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, equipment and amenities;Schedules the front desk team;
- Responsible for assigning daily tasks to the front desk team;Implements front desk and guest service procedures that promote the health and safety of all guests and staff, such as key management, security and emergency procedures;
- Is present in the lobby during peak hours to ensure impeccable customer service;Manage the "Le Marché" point-of-sale, orders and inventories;
- Ensures accuracy of information included in daily journal;Adheres to payroll procedures : ensures that payroll is accurate and that payroll closure is provided to accounting at the end of each pay period;
- Prepares and manages the department budget, including expense forecasts based on occupancy and hotel budget;Comply with Moxy Marriott and RIMAP Hospitality standards;
- Participate in the "Manager on Duty" (MOD) program;Perform any other duties related to the functions. REQUIREMENTSPost-secondary diploma in hotel management or related professional field;
5 years experience in hotel management, customer service or related field.Knowledge of French and English, spoken and written.
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset;Ability to work under pressure, possess a strong sense of urgency and be able to manage priorities;
- Must be available days, evenings and weekends;Knowledge of Microsoft Office and various hosting software (Opera an asset);
- Ability to create and maintain good relations with stakeholders within the department;Excellent communication skills promoting information sharing, teamwork and commitment;
Ability to lead a team, share a strong team culture and encourage performance;Ability to occasionally lift loads from 10 to 25 pounds and / or ability to frequently carry, push, pull or move objects weighing 25 pounds.
