Job description

Responsibilities :

  • Design, calculate and stock list fire sprinkler projects in a construction environment. Verify that all deliverables meet NFPA standards and local ordinance.
  • Focus on contract and renovation designs
  • Liaise between management, estimating, design, fabrication, installation and project management as a valuable team member resulting in increased profitability.
  • Assist in continuing and maintaining company best practices in coordination with national fire protection design team.
  • General support for Troy installation projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education in Fire Protection Engineering & Technology or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of design layout, hydraulic calculations, stock listing and project management would be an asset.
  • 5+ years' experience in fire protection design
  • NICET certification and / or have the ability to become certified.
  • Working expertise of AutoCAD and hydraulic calculations.
  • Experience with HydraCAD is an asset.
