Job Description

Splash Catering at Casa Loma is currently looking for experienced Porters for the summer season. Applicants should expect a highly systematic and deliberately paced service, with a strong focus on every detail of the guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Moving and lifting items for Casa Loma
• Event set up and tear down, including Casa Loma property, Liberty Entertainment Group Event Spaces and restaurants, etc.
• Program set up and tear out year-round at Casa Loma
• Maintenance of event furniture and materials (cleaning tables, bars, chairs, for example)
• Responding to work orders that require moving.
• Proper storage, organization, repair, and upkeep of event materials
• Small labor tasks and repair work as assigned including (but not limited to) some cleaning, use of small tools (hammer/screwdriver), assembly of furniture and items related to event/program set up.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items of varying sizes and shapes.
• Ability to complete small repairs to event/program materials.
• Ability to work evenings, overnights, weekends.
• Driver’s license a plus
• Punctuality
• Excellent Communication skills
• Self-directed
• Takes direction well.
• Willing to learn new skills.
• Well-spoken with customers
• Able to legally work in Canada
