JOB SUMMARY
The Health Information Management Specialist is responsible for helping to maintain, organize, and process health records and patient information. This role will support and be guided by Bayshore’s Health Information Standards related to Health Records Management and adhere to the privacy management principles related to access / correction and disclosure of personal information. This would include, access and release of information including, conducting search, validating consent, extracting, scanning and preparing records, managing retention, and de destruction schedule, data quality activities, and other duties as assigned. Reports to Director Clinical Adoption, Health Informatics & Privacy operating for Integrated Care Solutions Division.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and demonstrates knowledge, skills and competencies in Health Information Management standards and practices including :
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This role will have dual reporting to the Corporate Director of Clinical adoption, health informatics & Privacy and Integrated Care Solutions Director of Data, Digital health and projects
Type of Role : This is a hybrid position that may require periodic travel to our Markham office or Units
