Job description

As a General Accountant , you will:
- Responsible for financial reporting including but no limited to; Cash monitoring and reporting General journal posting Bank reconciliations Fixed assets, creating maintenance, and depreciation Intragroup billings Payroll reconciliation and posting Month end closing Review GL accounts, analysing and clearing
- HST and PST filing
- Assist with audit requests from external auditors
- Assist with projects and initiatives within the corporate finance team
- Work collaboratively with others within the finance team, business units and external stakeholders
Our ideal candidate has:
- University/College diploma in Accounting, Business Admin or relevant education
- 2-3 years of experience in full cycle accounting or similar role (Construction Industry preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP and other ERP systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and organizational skills with superior attention to detail
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Ability to handle strict deadlines and work under pressure
- Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude
