We are presently accepting resumes for a Corporate Communications Student to provide marketing and communications support within Empower Simcoe. This is a full-time position starting as soon as April 20, 2026 for approximately 4-5 months. This position works up to 37.5 hours biweekly with an hourly rate of pay of $21.43. Please note that this position is contingent upon funding approval through the Federal Government Canada Summer Jobs program.

Minimum requirements of this position include:

• Completion of secondary school and enrolled in post-secondary education in Office Administration, Marketing Business, graphic design or other closely related fields of education
• Some office experience, experience in graphic design is an asset
• A valid class G driver's license and reliable transportation is an asset

Overview of Duties (including, but not limited to):

• Providing marketing and communications support for Empower Simcoe, including projects such as:
• Obtaining pictures, video reels for Instagram, testimonials from programs
• Fundraising/marketing assistance with annual Golf Tournament, Fashion Show
• Assisting with creation of marketing and fundraising materials using a variety of medias
• Provide administrative support and reception backup:
• Receptionist duties which include greeting and signing in guests and providing them with visitor identification, maintaining building security by opening and closing building, performing fire checks
• Filing, photocopying, processing incoming and outgoing mail, scheduling and maintain meeting space within the agency
• Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with issues of a sensitive nature
• Occasionally assisting with administrative tasks from the Executive Suite
• Assisting with special projects as assigned by Corporate Communications Manager or Executive Assistant that supports the student's abilities and interest.
• Performing other duties, special assignments as required by the Manager or persons above that rank
