Loss Prevention Associate

The Loss Prevention Associate plays a key supportive role in providing frontline security and loss prevention expertise. Responsible for ensuring a safe retail environment for our employees, shoppers and guests at all NSLC locations. This support will be provided by identifying and minimizing incidents via risk mitigation strategies, collaboration with the Security Operations Center, and partnership with retail team members.

Qualifications

As a qualified candidate, you will have : Post-secondary education in criminal justice, and protective security services (or related experience)3-5 years' experience in the field of Loss Prevention, enforcement and / or corporate security Be willing to work shift work (based on operational needs during retail hours, shifts are likely Monday to Saturdays with occasional Sunday including a bi-weekly rotation of days, evenings)Able to pass a security back-ground check and a valid NS driver's license with ability to produce a clear Driver's Abstract and access to reliable transportation. As an ideal candidate, you will also have : Training or Certification in De-Escalation, Defense tactics or related experience Experience in the field of law enforcement and / or retail risk managementExperience in conducting or assisting in criminal, civil or compliance investigationsTraining, certification and / or experience in security hardware such as lock and cameras An alternate combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent
