Unit Summary
The Pharmacy Department at the Juravinski Cancer Centre effectively manages drug therapy for positive patient outcomes and is committed to oncology pharmaceutical care. Patient focused health care empowers Pharmacist participation in both retail and general oncology settings. Working toward integration with the primary care teams, this allows for maximization of the Pharmacists clinical role and provides enhanced Pharmacy Technician roles in drug distribution.
Position Summary
As a Pharmacist in our small retail setting, you will be responsible for assessing drug related problems while ensuring that prescriptions are dispensed in a timely, accurate and professional manner in order to support our oncology patients. In addition, you will have the opportunity to integrate a clinical oncology component into your professional retail role.
Schedule Work HoursMonday to Friday; days
This position is temporary until January 2027.
Qualifications
1. Licensed or eligible for license by the Ontario College of Pharmacists
2. Baccalaureate of Science degree in Pharmacy
3. Demonstrated interest and skill in patient counseling
4. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative, organize & establish priorities and problem-solve
