The Aircraft Hydraulics Technician will work as part of a team in our workshop, performing tasks assigned by their team leader.
Key responsibilities include:
- Knowing and adhering to company policies and procedures;
- Ensuring that your file with Top Aces, including your professional training and qualifications, is up to date and accurate, and that all assigned tasks are within your qualifications. Immediately inform your supervisor if this is not the case.
- Ensuring that work performed on any aircraft or aircraft component complies with manufacturer-recommended standards, Canadian Aviation Regulations, and company policies and procedures;
- Ensuring that inspection, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, or replacement of parts is performed in accordance with approved manuals and procedures.
- Perform necessary work on hydraulic/pneumatic components (troubleshooting, repairs, checks, etc.).
- Complete independent inspections.
- Keep all work reports up to date so that progress can be monitored at any time.
- Ensure that the test bench and its equipment are properly maintained.
- Check inventory and order necessary materials.
- Inspect deliveries when authorized in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Support Top Aces' safety program and quality management program.
- Perform basic supply chain data entry into the RAMCO system when necessary.
- Attend professional training courses to ensure ongoing personal development.
- Get involved in the process of improving the workplace and working conditions.
- Assess the general condition of the workplace and safety equipment (report to supervisor).
- Ensure that snow removal is carried out at the facilities.
- Attend on-site training for certain employees.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- An Aircraft Maintenance Training certificate recognized by Transport Canada or an accredited course.
- Experience in aircraft hydraulic maintenance desired; knowledge/experience in component workshops an asset.
- Team player who is also able to work independently with little supervision.
- Experience working on complex projects requiring a high degree of judgment, initiative, and technical and specialized knowledge.
- Good problem-solving and resourcefulness.
- Fluency in French required, functional English to read, understand, and interpret manuals, policies, and procedures. Bilingualism is an asset.
- High level of professionalism, demonstrating courtesy and respect toward team members at all times.

Working Conditions:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and shift work according to flight operations;
- May be required to work outdoors;
- Travel may be required for the position;
- International travel may also be required in this role.

Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:
Position requires Controlled Goods Clearance and Level 2 Secret Clearance
