Overview
Match Retail is looking for an Account Manager with in-depth knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape, whom wishes to embark on our journey and join a fiercely passionate diversified and entrepreneurial team.
You will be mainly responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key account clients. You will also supervise and support regional managers to increase sales, profitability and drive client KPI’s.
As an account manager, you should be organized and able to analyze performance metrics. We also expect you to have good negotiation skills, and the ability to foster relationships with customers.
Ultimately, you should be able to facilitate communication with customers to drive business development and build long-term relationships to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities :
- Work across one or more clients / projects simultaneously. Fully understand the client’s business needs and challenges.
- Continued focus on situation / market / consumer analysis in order to generate superior strategies to deliver optimal client results.
- Demonstrate knowledge of client brands, national retailers and the categories in which they play. Deliver value to the client by making sound strategic recommendations that support client growth strategies.
- Drive sales & results
- Develop and deliver powerful, insightful and strategic client presentations leading to superior programs and incremental billings.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships consistently reinforcing Match Retail core values and superior performance on every project.
- Provide leadership to internal teams in the delivery of client goals.
- Manage and lead the professional development of Account Supervisors, Account Coordinators or Field Team members sharing knowledge and best practices, schedule regular 1 : 1 check-in.
- Manage overall program financials, budgeting and reconciliation.
- Deliver flawless program execution from strategic ideation though post program analysis.
- Supervise timely invoicing management from client.
- Demonstrate ability to have the "hard talks" with the client about budget allocation, resourcing, etc.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 3+ years of agency or related experience.
- Post-secondary degree / diploma in a related discipline
- Experience with client management (large portfolio) plus launching of programs
- Strong client relationship skills and ability to manage multiple clients
- Leadership mentality and proven experience managing others.
- Experience in working with, selling to, National Retailers
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize projects and tasks
- Solution mindset ability to drive projects forward through the potential barriers and guide internal and external stakeholders through each step
- Sound retail knowledge, solid judgement and confirmed strategic planning skills
- Creative thinker with a hands-on mentality
- Business analysis in helping our clients realize new opportunities
- Strong project manager and attention to detail
- Strong business acumen and financial management
- Strong presentation, communication and negotiating skills
- A self-starter able to work autonomously
- Work schedule : Monday Friday (possibility of night and weekends for launches or special project)
