Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Manager, the Engineering Student will support the Operations Engineering Team on the execution of small project scopes, monthly reporting, processing software change notices and other daily tasks within the Operations Engineering department.

What you’ll do

Aiding design modifications on Electrical, I&C and Telecoms systems on the SeaRose FPSO

Processing and planning Software Change Notices

Preparing Monthly Alarm Management Reports

Supporting E&I Engineering Team with Management of Change

Performing engineering calculations

Writing technical reports

Using AutoCAD and Bluebeam for drawing development

Working with engineers from other disciplines and vendors to gain knowledge on new subjects

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications :

Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)

Available to begin work in May 2026

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail

Strong computer skills (MS Office Products)

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Skills in planning and organizing

Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced, hard-working, team environment

Flexible to changing work demands and ability to prioritize

Innovative, with a strong desire to learn and the ability to encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes or solutions

Education

Must be enrolled in an Electrical   Engineering Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term

Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered

New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
