These positions are located in both urban and rural settings across the eastern part of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

The Opportunity
The Radiation Therapist provides a high standard of technical performance and patient care in the planning and delivery of accurate and precise treatment with ionizing radiation.
This includes the administration of radiation treatments according to physician's prescription and set-up instructions to deliver a precisely measured dose to the defined tumour volume with minimal damage to the surrounding tissue.
- The Radiation Therapist I also assists in maintaining the daily appointment system through discussion with the Radiation Therapist II and the booking clerk;
- explains procedures, treatments and side effects to patients; participates in the simulation process to ensure accuracy and reproducibility of all positioning required for patient treatment;
- maintains accurate treatment records by recording treatment parameters daily to furnish documentary evidence of patient's treatment;
participates in departmental quality assurance programs; performs weekly quality assurance checks on treatment charts; and performs other related duties.
Qualifications
Graduation from an approved (recognized) Radiation Therapy program is required
Current registration and member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) in Radiation Therapy is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
Compensation / Hours and Incentives
Hourly : ($47.87 / hour ($32.18 base rate plus $15.69 pensionable market differential) to $56.39 / hour ($40.70 base rate plus $15.

The following Sign on Incentives may be applicable and can be combined :
1. Signing bonus up to $10,000
