Overview

Languages : English.

Education : Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.

Experience : 3 to less than 5 years.

Work must be completed on site; no remote option.

Work site environment : Heavy equipment.

Work setting : Various locations, willing to relocate, relocation costs not covered, rental agency, Mining Industry.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation.
• Welding experience.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.
• Service attachments and working tools.
• Ensure transport compliance with regulations.
• Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
• Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit.
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.

Specialization and Experience

Equipment and machinery experience : Processing machinery.

Diesel engine repair : Lubrication system, engine control system, major internal engine repairs or overhaul, installation and alignment of engines and machinery.

Powered equipment repair : Hydraulic-operated working attachments.

Mechanical maintenance and repair : Mechanical transmissions, drive trains and final drives, hydraulic transmissions, tracked vehicle suspensions and steering, off‑road vehicle tires and wheels, brake system.

Sales experience : Mining machinery / equipment.
