Position : Early Childhood Educator

Terms of employment : Full-time, Permanent

Wage : $34.62~$37.00 / hour (depending on experience)

Working Hours : 30-40 hours / week

Number of Positions : 1

Work Location : 3635 Coast Meridian Road, Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 3N9

Job Duties :

• Develop and execute childcare programs to enhance children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
• Lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and visits to local points of interest.
• Assess children’s development to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
• Provide guidance to children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• Manage daycare equipment and assist with housekeeping responsibilities.
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
• Foster collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers supporting children.
• Create and maintain a secure and healthy environment for children.
• Oversee and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
• Discuss children’s progress and issues at staff meetings and provide written reports to early childhood educators or supervisors.
• Check the supplies for educational programs and order equipment as needed.
