We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement strategies.

This person will play a key role that will have a direct impact on several of our projects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the VP of Operations supervision, you will be responsible for the following:

• Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies.
• Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.
• Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.
• Ensure products launches within financial targets.
• Leading and pursuing new supplier opportunities.
• Conducting market research, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.
• Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations.
• Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, problem solving, creativity and strategic skills.
• Knowledge of an ERP (Epicor, would be an asset).
• SQL knowledge would be considered an asset
• Bilingual (asset).
• Outstanding communication skills and business acumen.
• Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
• At least four years procurement experience in a related industry.
• Advanced ability to collaborate and negotiate.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Familiarity with quality and ISO and OEM standards.
• Comfortable to perform audits based on companys needs.
• Capability to understand and analyze engineering drawings.
• Ability to build solid relationships by using strong interpersonal skills.
• Required to travel to develop, promote, and maintain strategic sourcing relationships
