Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Burnaby, British Columbia. In this role, you will provide essential support to our purchasing and accounts payable operations, helping to ensure accuracy and efficiency in order processing and reconciliation. Responsibilities :

• Process purchase requisitions and address any mismatches within the accounts payable system.
• Follow up with vendors to expedite orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to invoices without purchase orders.
• Assist the purchasing team in generating purchase orders and maintaining accurate records.
• Perform data entry tasks to update financial systems and ensure completeness.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Support reconciliation of accounts and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes.
• Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Office and Maximo to manage tasks efficiently.
• At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
• Familiarity with PO processing and invoice reconciliation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software such as Oracle or QuickBooks.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Entry-level procurement knowledge is an asset.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial transactions.
• Experience with Maximo or similar systems is preferred.
