POSITION :             Production Workers  REPORTS TO :       Supervisor, Remanufacturing & Repair DEPARTMENT :      Remanufacturing & Repair Centre LOCATION :             North Bay REFERENCE :         390-50E-26 RATE OF PAY :       $25.80 - $28.66 / hour (Increases set out as per the collective agreement. Full rate effective  after 1 year of service) WHO WE ARE : Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC) is an Agency of the Province of Ontario that provides efficient and vital transportation services.

MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES : Works independently and with other trades in the remanufacturing and repair of equipment used in the transportation industry Works from blueprints, sketches, manufacturer’s patterns, circuit diagrams or schematics, and construction specifications Uses hand and power tools commonly used in the industry Adapts to new methods, processes, material and equipment Assist trades as needed  Follows prescribed safety procedures including the use of safety clothing and equipment May work various shifts and on weekends and some work outdoors in adverse weather Performs other related duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS : Secondary School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED) 1-2 years experience in a production environment Experience using hand and power tools Experience in finish carpentry, window and flooring installation considered an asset Must be mechanically inclined  Proficient in reading, interpreting and working from blueprints Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written) Excellent organizational and planning skills Knowledge of safety codes and demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious manner Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment  Commitment to Health and Safety  Must be able to work shift work : Day Shift : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 a.m.

to 4 : 00 p.m.

Afternoon Shift : Monday to Thursday, 2 : 00 p.m.

to 12 : 00 a.m.

Night Shift : Monday to Thursday, 11 : 00 p.m.

to 9 : 00 a.m.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION : The successful candidate will need to pass the following clearances : criminal record check, employment references and education verification.
