Job description

Bilingual Insurance Coordinator — Remote Our client, a leading company in the insurance industry, is seeking a Bilingual Insurance Coordinator to join their SISIP Services Department. The successful candidate will work with the CAF Long Term Disability (LTD) Team, managing LTD claims for serving and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

Responsibilities :

  • Process Long Term Disability (LTD) claim approvals.
  • Adjust benefits and recover overpaid amounts.
  • Perform financial tasks such as stop payments, voids, refund deposits, garnishments, processing TD1s, and calculating employment income offsets.
  • Execute other related administrative and financial duties as required.
  • What you will need to succeed :

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, payroll, bookkeeping, benefit payment, or related duties in an administrative or clerical role (recent graduates will also be considered).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook / Office 365.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English (bilingualism required).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of insurance claims processes.
  • Familiarity with medical or insurance terminology is an asset.
  • Customer service experience in a demanding environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Group Benefits and Military Terminology is desirable.
  • Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
