Position Summary
The Construction Manager is responsible for supervising the coordination of all phases and trades for construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment. They ensure that specifications are strictly followed, work proceeds on schedule, and remains within budget. The manager also enforces schedule, budget, inspection, quality assurance, control, and job site safety compliance.
Primary Responsibilities
Monitor project schedules and budgets, allocating necessary resources to meet deadlines.Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.Inspect and review projects to ensure compliance with building, safety codes, and regulations.Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.Supervise preparation and submission of budget estimates, progress, and cost tracking reports.Oversee and manage contractor and supplier EHOS compliance at construction sites.Maintain daily communication from all sites : reports, meeting minutes, photos, incident reports, scheduling updates, and resource planning.Ensure the development and implementation of project-specific quality assurance and quality control plans.Take action to address delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.Collaborate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.Analyze project specifications to determine the best value construction means and methods.Oversee requisitions of supplies, materials, and equipment with Project Management.Promote a culture of safety emphasizing continuous improvement.Ensure compliance with P&O and Toolbox Talk EHS program across all construction sites.Prepare and schedule training on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.Monitor compliance with safety procedures.Draft inspection reports documenting inspection findings.Position Qualifications
5+ years experience in construction management.Experience with Microsoft Suite.Experience using project management software; Procore preferred.Strong understanding of OHS (Occupational Health & Safety Act).Preferred bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related field.Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day.Ability to look at a computer up to 8 hours per day.Ability to walk, sit, stand, and bend periodically.Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.#J-18808-Ljbffr
