The Dance Edge is located in North Oshawa. We are growing and seeking additional instructors to join our team for the 2025-2026 dance season. Seeking weekly instructors for Competitive Tap and Acrobatics.

We are looking for dance professionals who are willing to grow with our studio and share in the joys of recreational and competitive level dance education. Positions available starting as soon as July 2025 for summer programs. Full season commences September 8th 2025 and runs into June 2026. Competitive choreography can start as soon as July 2025.

TAP INSTRUCTOR – Ideal Candidate :

– Available Thursday evenings : 4 : 30 – 9 : 30 pm.

– Well versed and educated tap instructor.

– Confident as the leader of a classroom.

– Able to teach examination material from the ADAPT syllabus. All resources (syllabus book and online videos) will be available to you. Dancers participate in end of year examinations.

– Able to teach / choreography competitive team routines.

– Has the ability to teach and choreograph for advanced-level dancers.

– Is willing to work as a team member to grow and further the tap program.

– Strong understanding of tap technique and terminology.

– Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate concepts to students of all ages and skill levels.

ACRO INSTRUCTOR – Ideal Candidate :

– Available Thursday evenings.

– Strong understanding of acrobatics and related techniques

– Confident at spotting and assisting in the development of tumbling and soft skills.

– Instruct proper technique, form, and ensure safe development of skills.

– Ability to work with students of all levels (competitive and recreational).

– Committed to student success.
