Position Summary

CareRx is interested in hiring Student Pharmacists to join us at any of our Alberta pharmacies including Edmonton, Calgary, Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, and Edmonton Compounding & Retail, or our Clinical Consulting Pharmacist team. While our pharmacies primarily provide non-client facing services, employees have the opportunity to advance into Clinical Pharmacist roles to serve long-term care clients directly. Whether you're seeking part-time work now or full-time during summer breaks, we would love to connect with you!

Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Student Pharmacist will participate in daily dispensary operations, ensuring safe and effective patient care, maintaining operational standards for accuracy, efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include handling medications for residential care, assisted living, and independent living facilities. The role embodies CareRx’s Mission-Vision-Values to foster a positive team environment.

Your Day-to-Day Activities

• Data entry, updating resident files, and supporting pharmacy management software processes.
• Processing new prescriptions, medication changes, and therapy continuations.
• Preparing medications and related documentation for delivery.
• Supporting other designated activities as needed.
