About Us

Wentworth Hospitality Group includes four restaurants and a boutique hotel, which are Tableau Bar & Bistro, Homer Street Cafe & Bar, Maxines Cafe & Bar, Folietta, and the Loden Hotel.We are looking for eager and engaged individuals who are passionate about next level guest experience! Position Summary

Our team delivers a specially curated and delicious food and beverage menu, in line with our next level guest experience standards. This position reports to the Executive Pastry Chef, with directions and instructions from Senior Management and the Owners at times.

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute high-quality cuisine that meet the standards of Wentworth Hospitality Group
  • Ensure all baked goods are prepared and presented according to specifications
  • Understand and memorize all pastry items on the menu
  • Perform inventory checks and notify management of supply levels
  • Eager to learn and be trained on the multiple pastry techniques
  • Create and engage in a respectful, professional, and positive workplace
  • Maintain an organized and clean prep/work area
  • Sample ingredients, mix, and finish products, ensuring standards, quality and created flavour profiles are met
  • Ensure production schedules and timelines are met
  • Prioritize and ensure cleanliness in the back of the house
  • Protect the restaurant and guests by complying with sanitation, safety, and proper food handling procedures
  • Other duties as required


Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Valid BC Foodsafe Certification
  • Experience: Prior experience in a pastry-serving establishment, 1-2 years experience is an asset, but not necessary
  • Self-motivated, organized, and ability to multi-task effectively
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule with varied hours - days, nights, and weekends
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with guests and employees
  • Customer service focus and quality orientated
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • High energy level
