4th Year Apprentice Millwright

Job Description

Our client is a long standing leader in the manufacturing sector, successfully operating throughout the Western Canadian region for several decades. There is a current need within the Vancouver area plant to bring on an experienced industrial maintenance mechanic / millwright. The successful candidate will be a 4th year Apprentice Millwright, and bring a strong knowledge of maintenance and repair of equipment commonly used in plant manufacturing / production practices such as : conveyors, pumps, vacuums, motors, gearboxes, generators, compressors, shafts, and bearings.

Hired candidate will have an outstanding track record of safety and reporting, with a knowledge of relevant BC regulatory requirements.

Must be comfortable working in union environment and be available for rotating shift work.

Required Qualifications :

• 4th Year apprentice Millwright (Industrial Mechanic / Maintenance Mechanic)
• Available for rotating shift work
• Comprehensive experience with minor and major plant equipment repairs and maintenance
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Team player with ability to add talent, a great attitude, and knowledge to a successful stable company
