Financial Analyst

Aston Carter's large client in the transportation industry is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team! The analyst will support senior financial analysts during budget preparations.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter budgets into the system - keying data
• Prepare budget reconciliations
• Assist with budget preparations
• Reconcile variances
• Variance analysis - highlighting large variances and inconsistencies, recommending solutions
• Upload reports
• Update month-end and budget templates
• Prepares various reports, analysis, and presentation materials

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVE

• 2 years of Canadian Financial Planning & Analysis experience within a large complex environment. (must know Zero-based budgeting methodology)
• Excellent Data Entry accuracy - TESTING REQUIRED
• Advanced Excel proficiency - TESTING REQUIRED
• Strong communication skills - spoken and written
• Tech savvy - proficient switching between systems
• Able to work on site 4 days per week

NICE TO HAVE

• CPA designation
• Experience working in complex environment inclusive of union
• Lives in Burnaby or Vancouver
• Experience with Budgeting and Forecasting

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Burnaby, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $41.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Burnaby,BC.
