The School of Social Work and Human Service (Faculty of Education and Social Work) at Thompson Rivers University invites applications for a sessional lecturer to teach the 1-credit lab component of EDCS 1590 – Practical Foundations of Education and Community Support (0.4.0) at the Williams Lake Campus in Winter 2026. This works represents 1-credit of contract instructional work. This position requires in person, face to face delivery of the course in Williams Lake.
TRU’s Williams Lake campus is located approximately three hours northwest of Kamloops, in the heart of the scenic Cariboo region, on T’exelcemc territory within the unceded traditional lands of the Secwepemc Nation.

Course Description:
This course introduces Education Assistant and Community Support students to the practical aspects of supporting individuals with disabilities in classrooms, communities, and home settings. Students participate in modules that examine a variety of health care, educational, and communication supports for people with complex needs.
