Located in northern Nova Scotia close to warm-water beaches and communities with a rich Scottish heritage Michelin Pictou County manufactures rubber mixes and process components for other North American plants as well as passenger car and light truck winter tires for the North American market.

The Opportunity

As a Shift Supervisor you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facility as the staff representative on shift. You will coordinate production and support operations and maintenance teams with the shared goals of safety quality cost and delivery.

What you will do :

• provide leadership support and direction to operations on a 12-hour rotating shift (including nights and weekends);
• ensure teams are operating following all safety practices and policies coaching as required;
• respond to the needs of the facility during your shift and coordinate solutions for production disruptions such as machine downtime workforce shortages or supply interruptions;
• be the primary point of contact for communicating changes and operational updates;
• provide a safe working environment for all employees and ensure safe operating conditions of equipment and follow up on any incidents or issues;
• use Michelins problem-solving tools to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective solutions; and
• interact with planning systems to support resource allocation and production goals.
