Location & Compensation

Location : Slave Lake, Alberta. FTE : 1.00. Salary : $35,460 – $46,690 annually (equivalent hourly rates). Shift pattern : 12‑hour shifts, days, evenings, nights, weekends, on‑call.

Description

As an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) you will assess emergency scenes, transport patients, administer medications, provide advanced life support, and lead the ALS crew. You will also ensure EMS vehicles are properly stocked and safe. The role is physically demanding and requires travel in all weather conditions, including remote and hazardous locations.

Required Qualifications

• Non‑restricted registration as an Advanced Care Paramedic with the Alberta College of Paramedics.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) certification.
• Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator Licence or equivalent, and a recent five‑year driver abstract with no more than six demerits.
• Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test within six months of application.
• Physical ability to lift 105 lbs and perform other job‑related demands.
• Qualified to perform full operational duties as of start date.
