OBJECTIVE:

The Trims Sourcing Buyer will work in close collaboration with the Sourcing and Design departments to achieve the best results in terms of timeliness and quality when it comes to trims sourcing.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Source new trims based on current trends in collaboration with Design team
• Follow-up with vendors/factories on all trims sampling
• Compare and negotiate costs
• Keep logs accurate for sourcing and production
• Create all trim codes in our two IT systems Momentis and PLM
• Actualize the picture log once code is created
• Verify the accuracy of all BOM and wash cares
• Place trims pre-orders at the end of each season
• Receive and send out packages to suppliers
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-3 years of experience in the fashion industry is essential
• Knowledge of trims is a major asset
• Outstanding interpersonal skills (Team oriented)
• Bilingual (English and French) written and spoken
• Demonstrated detail orientation, high sense of organization
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess basic Microsoft and Excel skills
